A habit RPG where your real life is the character sheet

A habit RPG borrows the progression loop of a role-playing game — experience points, levels, loot, a collection to complete — and hooks it to things you do away from the screen. The game does not simulate effort; it records it. You do ten slow stretches, you put the phone face down for ten minutes, you read a chapter. The game turns that into XP.

The reason this works is not willpower, it is feedback timing. Real habits pay off in months. A habit RPG pays off in seconds — a level-up, a new beast, a streak counter that moves — and that short feedback loop carries you through the weeks where the real reward is still invisible.

Each day Streakhunter gives you three quests: one for the Body, one for your Habits, one for the Mind. They are real-world tasks, not taps. Complete them and you earn XP, keep your streak alive and pull wild beasts out of the world of Persista.

Three is a deliberate number. An unlimited task list is a to-do app with a health bar; it grows until a bad day makes it unwinnable. Three quests are small enough to finish when you are tired, ill or travelling — which is exactly when a streak is normally lost.

Everything you earn is spent in Persista, the overworld of Streakhunter. The map holds the Arena, three Rifts, the Eclipse altar, the breeding nest, the shop and the quest board. Nodes unlock as your hunter level and streak grow, so the map is a visual record of your consistency.

Hunter levels and titles, four permanent equipment slots with twelve build choices, six elemental beast types, tactical turn-based Arena combat across three tiers, three Rift dungeons with Legendary guardians, and a monthly Eclipse event for the most disciplined hunters.

Beasts are hand-drawn pixel art — 33 base forms and 27 evolutions, 60 in total across six elemental types. You can set one as your Companion, breed for new bloodlines, or sacrifice duplicates for materials. The full roster, move list and type chart live in the Beastdex.

Streaks alone are fragile: one missed day and the number goes to zero, and there is nothing left to come back to. In a habit RPG the progress is permanent. Your hunter, your roster, your gear and your Dex entries survive a bad week, so restarting costs a streak, not your whole investment.

That split — a fragile score on top of permanent progress — is the core design decision in Streakhunter. The streak gives the day stakes. The collection gives the month meaning.
